Envisioned as a temporary installation for the historic Takahashi building in San Francisco, the string installation needed to be as minimally invasive as possible. Evan and I designed and fabricated the steel signpost framework that we clamped around the beautiful original timber structure instead of fastened into it, preserving the building in a small way.
